Call for papers - 2012

The Journal “Baltic Horizons” (Euroacademy Series, International Relations, ISSN 1736-1834) is honoured to invite interested authors to contribute with articles and reviews. The forthcoming issue No. 21 (118) is to be published in fall 2012, and will be traditionally devoted to foreign policies and international relations on the Post-Soviet Space and the Baltic Sea Region. The topic of the journal is “Stability on the Post-Soviet Space”. The following questions are in major focus:

-    External and domestic factors of stability of political regimes;
-    Foreign policy of the Post-Soviet states and stability;
-    Eurasian integration and economic factors of stability;
-    The interests of the Baltic States on the Post-Soviet Space.

The Journal publishes three types of submissions: academic articles, research theses and book reviews.

PhD holders, prominent researchers and practitioners are welcomed to submit academic articles with volume 20000-40000 characters (10-20 pages). The article is subject to academic standards of structure, arguments and novelty. The article must be supplemented by short annotation (abstract) – 100-120 words, and the list of keywords. The articles are subject to peer-review by outside scholars.

Master and PhD Students (as well as the rest interested authors) can submit research theses with volume up to 10000 characters (5 pages), based on the current research project, dissertation and (or) conference presentation. The research theses must be supplemented by short annotation (abstract) – 100-120 words, and the list of keywords. The research theses are reviewed by the Editorial Board.

The reviews of newly published (not later than in 2011) books (or some books and articles) are limited to 6000-8000 characters and must be supplemented with detailed issuing data of the reviewed publication.

The authors should present the information about their: name, surname, scientific degree, working place and position occupied, phone, fax and e-mail.  

The publication must be presented in Word, Times New Roman 12, Line Spacing 1.5. References have to be presented in footnotes, Times New Roman 10, Single Spacing. Chapter headings are made in Times New Roman 12, bold. Tables and diagrams must be inserted into the text.

The deadline for submission is June 15, 2012.
